Within 6 months - which is a short period compared to much longer terms of international arbitration proceedings in other international fora – Magisters' specialists prepared and successfully completed arbitration proceedings in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia (known as “MKAS”) with four awards rendered in favor of Linas Agro AB.
They did their best to help us win our claims for damages caused by default on the delivery contract obligation by the Russian seller. That is why such cases are quite rare for MKAS and other international arbitrations.

They thoroughly gathered relevant evidences and built up legal position on the basis of international practice of the Vienna Convention application. Due to their support the court rejected the opponents’ motions to suspend arbitration due to proceedings pending in local courts. Those proceedings were initiated by the respondent-controlled shareholders who sought to nullify the sale contracts.
