Magisters Prevails in World Finance 2010 Legal Awards

Magisters, a leading CIS-based law firm, has received a triple victory at the World Finance Legal Awards 2010, being named:

• Best Competition & Anti-Trust Team (Russia);
• Best Banking & Finance Team (Ukraine);
• Best Tax Team (Ukraine).

The World Finance Awards identify industry leaders, individuals, teams and organizations that represent the benchmark of achievement and best practice in the financial and business world.

The panel of judges, headed up by World Finance editor Alexander Redcliffe, used a wide range of criteria, such as innovation, originality and quality of product, as well as proof of market development and excellence in client representation, to acknowledge top performing firms.

Dmitry Dyakin, Managing Partner (Moscow), reflected: "We are delighted to have been recognized for our hard work in competition law which includes many large-scale projects, such as support for a potential multibillion acquisition of a Russian metal group, advising a London-based hedge fund on its investments into Russia, and anti-trust matters related to a sale of an FMCG holding.
